rules

There are not very many rules in Mousy Family tournaments. Our main objective is for players to have fun. Below are the few rules we do ask players to follow but most importantly, HAVE FUN.

1. THERE IS TO BE NO TABLE TALK OF ANY KIND DURING THE GAME!!!! If caught you will be given 1 warning, if you are told a second time you WILL BE disqualified! Please notify a TD as soon as possible if you find this happening during your game!

2. BRB RULES

No BRB's during game in process! In the event of an EMERGENCY please let the Host/Hostess be aware as soon as possible! If you don't tell the host and a player complains that you are not playing you CAN be DQ'ed.

There is a 1-5 minute BRB inbetween rounds. This is not to be used every round. A max of 2 BRB's are allowed before we have to replace you with a sub.

3. SUB POLICY: If you are booted from the tournament you have 10 minutes to return. If you don't make it back in time a sub will be put in your place.

4. You are only allowed 3 BOOTS per tournament, after third boot you will not be allowed to rejoin the tournament unless you wish to sub!

5. We will follow the same rules as The Zoo for our TOC. No two players from the same house can partner up. You are more then welcome to play during regular tournament time just not in the TOC. The multi-task monitor will be on for our TOC only.

6. If there is any disagreements amongst players notify a TD to solve the issue! DO NOT take matters into your own hands and continue the arguing! The Host/Hostess will give the final call on the matter.

7. There is to be no fighting, name calling or swearing of any kind during the tournament. If you do so you will be asked ONE time only to stop or you WILL BE asked to leave the tournament. If you continue and refuse to leave on your own then actions will be taken to have you removed!

8. TD will have final say in any disagreement. Players who cause problems may be disqualified from individual tournaments with logs and proper complaints only. We will try our best to be as fair as possible to all players, so please be kind!

9. On a DQ format there is a first hand reset if someone misbids. There is only 1 reset per table. The reset for any other reason on first hand is up to the TD in charge of the tournament. All decisions by TDs are FINAL.

10. Watchers are more then welcome to visit a table as long as ALL the players agree they can watch. Some people are made nervous when others are watching and out of respect for them if they ask you to leave please do so. There is to be no arguing on this subject. It is just common courtesy to leave a table if you just stopped in to chat and you are making someone else feel uncomfortable or distracted.

11. All chat programs should be shut off. We do understand that owners of other groups and Zoo staff need theirs on but, please refrain from using them unless it is an emergency.

12. Please do not play in more then one tournament at a time. If The Mousy Family finds that you are playing in more then one tournament you could be dq'ed. It just holds up the tournament and isn't fair to the people you are playing with. :)

13. Where it might be cute to change names to go with holidays or when bored it is very hard for us to keep track of all these name changes with wins for Zoo Bucks and the TOC. Unless you state to the td when you win that you are just on a holiday name (and give your name that you want listed) the name you won in is the name that will get the zoo bucks and THE ONLY NAME that will be allowed to play in the TOC. There will be no more courtesy emails sent, it will be your responsibility to give us the names for now on.
